What the numbers show
ILOSTAT - Labour force survey — Employment-to-population ratio by age, total (15+), rural areas — Female — Value is currently reported for 85 countries. The highest value is 84.36 % in Republic of Moldova; the lowest is 10.89 % in Jordan.
The median across all reporting countries is 50.48 %, and the mean is 48.73 %.
The gap between the highest and lowest reporting country is a factor of about 8.
Over the past decade 56 countries rose and 28 fell. The largest increase was in Bosnia and Herzegovina (up 93.7%), and the largest decrease in Zimbabwe (down 39.5%).
