What the numbers show
ILOSTAT - Labour force survey — Share of employment by status of employment, employees, rural areas — Value is currently reported for 77 countries. The highest value is 95.8 % in Belarus; the lowest is 5.8 % in Mali.
The median across all reporting countries is 70.4 %, and the mean is 61.97 %.
The gap between the highest and lowest reporting country is a factor of about 17.
Over the past decade 56 countries rose and 19 fell. The largest increase was in Côte d'Ivoire (up 222.2%), and the largest decrease in Mongolia (down 51.6%).
