Gross fixed capital formation or GFCF (also called investment) refers to acquisitions less disposals of fixed assets. Therefore, this indicator can have a negative value, in particular for use of domestic output, so the share of imported products in GFCF can be higher than 100 %. This indicator highlights the dependency on imports of GFCF for each product. For each product, the indicator is calculated as Import of the product used for final consumption expenditure by households / final consumption expenditure by households at basic prices of the same product. This indicator is calculated by the OECD from the Import Use table at basic prices and the Use table at basic prices reported to the OECD by countries in their answers to Supply and Use questionnaire. The dataset corresponds to SNA_TABLE45 dataset in the previous dissemination system.
