About this data
The intra-EEA Services Trade Restrictiveness Index identifies and catalogues which policy measures restrict trade within the European Economic Area (EEA) for 24 OECD EU member countries. It complements the existing STRI, which quantifies multilateral services trade restrictiveness, allowing to track the progress of regional services integration in 22 sectors (transport, financial, professional, logistics, audiovisual, construction, telecommunications, distribution, computer). The STRI indicators and database have been updated to 2025 for all sectors. The update also involves further harmonisation of measures across sectors and sharpening some of the measures. The entries in the database are documented with reference to the sources.
